Frequently asked questions

Answers before you ask.

The questions that come up most often in first conversations — about how we work, what contracts cover, how procurement runs, and what happens when something breaks.

Working with us

What does ExosysNetworks actually do?

We are an IT infrastructure, services and managed support company. That covers design, procurement, installation, configuration and ongoing support across networking, servers and storage, cybersecurity, cloud, digital workplace and physical security — delivered by our own engineers rather than subcontracted out.

What size of business do you work with?

From single-office setups through to multi-location enterprise estates. The engagement model changes with size — a small office is usually a fixed-scope project plus an AMC, while a multi-site estate is typically a managed contract with agreed response windows per site.

Where do you operate?

PAN India. We support metro, Tier 1, Tier 2 and remote locations through a field engineer network of 8,500+ engineers. Branch and remote sites follow the same design standards and the same SLA as head office — the difference is travel time, not quality of work.

What does a first engagement look like?

A conversation about the problem, then a site survey where it matters. You get a findings report and an indicative design with a bill of materials before any commercial commitment. There is no charge for that first scoping conversation.

Services & support

What is the difference between an AMC and managed services?

An AMC is a repair agreement — it is triggered when something breaks, and covers labour (and parts, if comprehensive) within an agreed response window. Managed services adds monitoring, a helpdesk, preventive maintenance and reporting, so problems are caught before users report them. Many clients run both: managed on the network and servers, AMC on desktops and peripherals.

What are your response times?

Response and resolution windows are defined by severity in each contract rather than being one blanket number. Next Business Day on-site support is available on contracted sites nationwide, with faster windows and resident engineer options where the site justifies it.

Is support remote or on-site?

Both. Most incidents are resolved remotely by the helpdesk or NOC. On-site engineer visits are dispatched when the fault needs hands — hardware replacement, cabling, physical installs. Resident engineer placements are available for sites that need someone permanently.

Do you monitor our systems 24x7?

On managed contracts, yes. Our NOC monitors links, network devices, servers and backup jobs continuously, with alert thresholds agreed during onboarding. On break-fix or AMC arrangements, monitoring is not included unless added separately.

What happens when a project is handed over?

Every deployment closes with as-built diagrams, an asset, licence and warranty register, credential handover and an escalation matrix naming who to call. The environment then moves onto whichever support model you have chosen.

Procurement

Which brands do you supply?

We hold partnerships across the major OEMs — Cisco, HPE, Aruba, Dell, Lenovo, HP, Fortinet, Microsoft and others. We are deliberately multi-vendor so we are not obliged to recommend any one of them; the right platform is whichever fits your estate, budget and support model.

Can you work with hardware we already own?

In most cases, yes. We support multi-vendor estates and will reuse anything still under warranty and fit for the workload. Where we recommend replacing something, the findings report states why — age, end of support, capacity or risk — so the decision stays yours.

How are lead times handled?

Warranty terms, licensing and lead times are confirmed in writing before an order is placed, not after. Where a component has a long lead time we will say so during design so the project plan reflects reality.

Security & data

How do you approach security in a design?

Security is designed once against the whole stack rather than bolted on per product. That means perimeter and network controls, endpoint protection, access control and data protection are planned together, with the policies, exceptions and reporting your auditors will ask to see.

Do you help with audits and compliance?

Yes. We provide the configuration evidence, asset registers and reporting needed to support an audit. We are not a certification body, so we work alongside your auditor rather than replacing them.

Who has access to our systems?

Only the named engineers assigned to your account, through agreed access methods documented at onboarding. Credentials are handed over to you at project close, and access can be revoked by you at any point.

Contracts & billing

How is a contract priced?

Project work is priced against the agreed design and bill of materials. Support contracts are priced on the number of sites, devices and users covered, the response windows required, and whether cover is remote, on-site or resident.

Can we start with one service rather than everything?

Yes. A cabling project, a firewall refresh or a backup rebuild are all normal standalone engagements. Nothing on our site is only available as part of a bundle.

What is the contract term, and can we exit?

Support contracts typically run annually. Notice periods and exit terms are set out in the agreement, and because handover documentation is delivered as standard, moving to another partner does not require a discovery project first.

How do we raise a support ticket?

Contracted clients get a named escalation path at onboarding — helpdesk number, email and portal. Anyone can also raise a request through the support form on this site.

Still have a question?

If it is specific to your environment, a short call with an engineer will get you further than any FAQ.
